Saptakoshi Multiple campus has been established in 2067 B.S. by social activists and academicians of this region with the aim of imparting quality education in affordable cost. Campus has got an affiliation with Tribhuvan University in 2067 BS and in 2069 BS in Bachelor of Business Studies and Faculty of Education respectively. Since its establishment, the campus has been providing higher education to the students from diverse social and economic background from the remote area of the territory of the same municipality to Bjojpur, Khotang, Udayapur and other districts of the  eastern region. Saptakoshi Multiple Campus is the only multiple campus situated in this area. The campus has set a goal to develop SMC as a center of producing high skilled academic human resources by identifying the needs of the society, by developing infrastructure and exchanging the experiences with other reputed academic institutions for the efficiency of teaching learning activities. The campus focuses on research based teaching learning activities by adopting innovative ideas and technology. Research based teaching learning provides suitable environment for academic growth and innovation in the field of education.
